Character Analysis
Inez is Dean’s third wife. She is excited to meet Dean because he is a cowboy, which may seem silly until we remember that that’s what Sal liked so much about him way back in the opening paragraph. She isn’t given a lot of text time, and we certainly don’t know as much about her as we do about Camille and Marylou, except that she loves Dean and has his child. Unlike Marylou, she refuses to condone Dean cheating on her with Camille in San Francisco.
