The Orange Houses Chapter 31 Summary

JIMMI

  • At the park, two days before the hanging, Jimmi searches for a place to put Joe's ashes.
  • He plans to put them by the cliffs because it's peaceful over there, but when he gets there, he finds needles and trash instead of the serene atmosphere he remembered.
  • On his way home, he stops by the abandoned NYPD garage where his old mural was, and he sees the Statue of Liberty painting by Fatima and Mik.
  • He's amazed. It's not the painting itself that impresses him, but the fact that he got the girls to do it.
  • He decides to bury Joe the following night—and then use the gun to finish himself off.
