Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Questions

  1. People have called this book 85% Jane Austen and 15% zombie mayhem. What do you think of the undead action that was added?
  2. Who do you think has the better life plan for the Bennet girls? Mrs. Bennet, who wants them to get married? Or Mr. Bennet, who wants them to fight off the living dead?
  3. Why do you think that no one (except Elizabeth and Lady Catherine) notices that Charlotte is slowly transforming into a zombie? Is everyone just too polite and well-mannered to say anything?
  4. Do the cruel fates of some of the characters (like Charlotte, Mr. Collins, or Mr. Wickham) make sense? Or are they too much?
  5. Why does Lady Catherine object to Elizabeth marrying Mr. Darcy? Is it only because she thinks the Bennet family is beneath her? Or is it because she's actually intimidated by Elizabeth's fighting chops?
  6. Do you feel bad for Lydia and Mr. Wickham, trapped in Ireland surrounded by soiled diapers, or do they seem happy in their own way?
  7. Were you disappointed that the zombies are still plaguing England at the end of the story? Or do you think Grahame-Smith is leaving room for a sequel?
