When Frost spoke at President Kennedy's inauguration, Kennedy was afraid that Frost would show him up. Turns out Frost, who had written a new poem for the occasion, couldn't see or hold the pages of his new poem on the sunny and windy day, and recited an old poem, "The Gift Outright," instead.
