Sekhmet's Clique: Crazy Cat Ladies
These ladies like their cats. So much so that sometimes they are their cats.
Bast
Bast is Sekhmet's friend and sometimes sister as another Eye of Ra. Sometimes, these two pretend to be each other; after all, both are lionesses. It's not too hard to confuse people that way.
Freyja
This Norse goddess isn't usually a cat herself, but she rides around in a wagon or a chariot pulled by giant cats instead of horses. How cool is that?
Durga
Holy cats! Sometimes Durga is a beautiful woman sitting on a tiger, and sometimes Durga is the tiger. This Hindu goddess fights demons and sickness, and has a very similar myth to Sekhmet's, including being closely related to a goddess of gold and joy—Lakshmi for Durga, and Hathor for Sekhmet.
