The 3 C's of Good Storytelling: Character, Conflict, and Construction
Check out Taylor's website to find out a little more about the author. There's a short bio, FAQ, and a "person to person" section. It's this last section, beginning, "Never in my childhood did I want to become a writer," that's so interesting. Read through this section with your students. Talk about the things Taylor did that were good food for writing. Have them come up with things in their own lives—people they know, places they've been, scenes they've witnesses—that make good food for writing.
