Poor Ruti: she's Laban's last wife, and she's treated like dirt.
When Laban impregnates her for the last time, Ruti says, "I would rather die than give him another son, and if it is a girl, I will drown her before she is old enough to suffer at his hands" (1.3.66).
Nothing good really happens to Ruti. Rachel helps her abort a child that would have been born to Laban, and pretty soon after, Dinah finds Ruti dead from suicide.
