Why You Might Have Heard of Me:

  • Doug Flutie, Matty Ice, Mark Herzlich—and that's just football

  • I'm one of the biggest and best Catholic colleges in the world.

  • The Dropkick Murphys have a version of my fight song, "For Boston."

On a regular Saturday night, you can find me...

You'll probably find me on the Comm Ave bus, either on my way to Maryann's (a popular Boston College dive), the Mods (modular apartments for house parties), or a party in Brighton.

Favorite Hangouts:

  • Maryann's

  • Roggie's, Eagle's Deli, Pino's (pretty much anywhere in Cleveland Circle)

  • Second-floor Reading Room in Bapst Library

  • Hillside Café

  • El Pelón Taqueria

Quirks:

  • Boston College isn't a college. It's a university. And it isn't in Boston. It's in Chestnut Hill.

  • There aren't many schools where students apply for a chance to get into little townhouses that should have been torn down four decades ago. In the Mods, they live two to a room, but they love it.

  • What other school has a competitive D-1 football team, basketball team, hockey team, and co-ed sailing team?

Famous Alumni:

  • Marty Walsh, mayor of Boston

  • Amy Poehler

  • Leonard Nimoy, the original Spock.

  • Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who hosted The View for many years.

  • Clinton Kelly, fashion guru
