Odds of Hanging On
Terrorist attacks are extraordinarily rare, people aren't as up in arms over 9/11 anymore, and federal flight deck officers are allowed to carry guns on planes to defend themselves and the passengers. What do they need a bazillion air marshals for again?
You can't hang on to a job that's not there. And for better or worse, air marshal numbers are in decline.
