Fame

You'd think the people on HGTV were actual gardeners, but while a lot of them probably enjoy plants and even dirt, most of them aren't your average landscape professional. They're horticultural or design experts at best, and actors at worst. The average landscape professional is too busy fertilizing George Clooney's front lawn.

Gardeners won't find much in the way of fame. They're meant to remain behind the scenes—or rather, behind the scenery. But don't sweat it—no one knows the names of the folks who maintained the Hanging Gardens of Babylon either. We still hear it was an awesome place to go on a first date, though.
