Odds of Getting In
Your chances aren't bad, but it's getting tougher to break in. That said, it's hard to find a good sound editor. If you happen to be one of those, your talent should eventually move you to the head of the class.

There are currently more individuals interested in sound editing than there are open positions, so there are no guarantees. Here's a pro tip, though: if you wear a power tie everywhere you go—like, even to the grocery store at 2:00AM—you'll probably find that big break sooner. You never know who's going to be in the freezer section at that time of night.
