Yowzah. A whopping 70% of education majors report being happy at work. You can't beat those numbers. In fact, only a couple other majors did. This is definitely the most promising aspect of this major. It must be super rewarding to see youngsters that come into your classroom as tiny seedlings gradually sprout over a few months.

We bet witnessing that eureka moment never gets old, and being given the occasional apple is probably cool, too. Most of us were probably inspired or influenced by fantastic teachers, so it only makes sense that people strive to be that for others.

Being a teacher is so rewarding, in fact, that people do it for little pay. The downside of getting an education major is that you're not exactly going to end up the next Rockefeller. It's totally twisted, but it's a sad reality—if it were up to us, teachers would be bazillionaires. Sure, you'll make an average wage, but you won't be high-rolling in a private jet anytime soon. But who needs jets, anyway?
