Job Satisfaction
N/A (figure not available)General quality of life statement
You know why there are no job satisfaction and salary figures for this major? Because they're in the military. Even if they were upset, they're not going to say anything. They have better discipline than that.
The military has a good way of weeding out the people who don't want to be there. Training is very difficult, and to make it, you first need to want to make it. You also need to be good at it, but that goes without saying. So those people who would be unhappy in the military life are already gone. We're not saying everyone is super thrilled at all times, but for the most part, yes. They probably are.
Those of you who are seriously considering this life probably aren't too concerned about money. The fact is, you will have perfect job security. Look at those unemployment numbers. 0%. Nobody. If you go into the military, you will have a job, and in this uncertain economy, that's practically a superpower. Important work and job security, that sounds pretty good to us.
The question you have to ask yourself is, is this the life for you? Do you like the idea of a regimented hierarchy? Do you want to be part of the armed forces, shooting guns, protecting freedoms, and whatnot? Do you want a job where getting shot at is just part of a standard day? Do you not want to think about what to wear every day?
If you said yes, then look no further.
