Come to discussions prepared, having read or studied required material; explicitly draw on that preparation and other information known about the topic to explore ideas under discussion.

You can't have a group discussion if only one person knows about the topic, right? Student preparation becomes incredibly important for this standard, and that might come down to a little prep work in class. Have them do the reading and researching, and then bring 'em together.
