California State University--Sacramento
About Me
Intro
I'm a top-notch university in the capital city of California. No, not Los Angeles. It's a little further north—what? No. I'm not in San Francisco.
Come on. It's in my name, for crying out loud. Sacramento.
Okay, so maybe Sacramento isn't quite as well-known as Channing Tatum and the other big names down south, but that's certainly not a reflection of my excellent programs. I offer awesome degrees in education, engineering, criminal justice, public administration, nursing, and I'm one of the only universities around that offers a degree in deaf studies. Go me.
If you're into training your body in addition to your mind, I also have the top Army ROTC program in the entire country. That's right, I'm ranked—several times, for that matter. It's a combination of mental and physical training that prepares students to be officers. If you're interested in military duty at all, I'm definitely the place to be.
I'm not all studies and drill sergeants, though. I also have over three-hundred clubs and thirty-six chapters of sororities and fraternities you can join, not to mention plenty of Div-I sports available to play. I'm especially good at tennis and volleyball.
And by the way, there are celebs around, if you must know. Tom Hanks went here…and Arnold Schwarzenegger was forced to work here while in office. So, yeah.
Take that, LA.

Body Type
I'm the big guy you'd be glad to have on your side when things get rough. I'm 28,000 students strong and proud. Keeping healthy and in-shape is kind of my thing. I'm known as "Tree Campus USA," and sure enough, I've got over 3,500 healthy, green trees growing all over me. It ain't easy being green, but somehow I make it work.
Many students commute from the surrounding urban areas to attend me, but there's also a great sense of community on campus…if you can stand the crowds.
Current Living Situation
Like I said, I'm a bit of a commuter school. What does that mean for you? Well, I'm not clingy. That's what. If you want the classic college experience, you're totally welcome to live with me; I've got five residence halls to choose from, one of which is even named after your favorite ad man of the sixties.
Independent spirits can find apartments all over the place in Sacramento. I would recommend getting a roommate, but if you've got money to burn, well…don't. Try donating it instead or something.
If you're teetering between dorm and apartment life, you can also live in some of the apartment buildings I own. They come with slightly more room to dance around in your PJs, and also offer the benefits of living in a community of students, such as being able to easily host PJ dance parties.
Relationship Status
I have a friendly rivalry with UC Davis, but mostly just because of their close proximity to me. It's not like they're particularly good at anything other than farming…and I'm not so into the smell of cow manure. Sorry 'bout it.
You should apply to me if...
you're ready to kick back in a beautiful forest while you study in between classes.
