Affinity Card

You know when someone you're attracted to plays the friend card? The affinity card is even worse. It's like they barely want you around. They just have a mild affinity.

That's what the term means in the world of romance. In the world of finance, it refers to a credit card with one of those little logos on it. Not the business ones, like the Disney cards with Tinker Bell on them. Affinity cards feature non-profit organizations and signify a charitable relationship with the card issuer. When used, some portion of the sale amount is donated to the charity involved.

And just in case you are wondering, Disney is not, in fact, a charity. Frozen made bank.
