Bailment

Bailment is the written or inferred contract between between the two parties (bailor and bailee). Bailor is the owner, while bailee is the business person or service provider.

Example: A person (bailor) leaves their car at a repair shop (bailee) for an oil change. The process of exchanging possession of the car is bailment for the purpose of an oil change.
