Blamestorming

Categories: Company Management

Blamestorming, aka “scapegoating." When angry people are trying to figure out who to blame.

Blamestorming is common in politics and PR, since they’re concerned with keeping their status and curated image intact. People who blamestorm love to take all of the credit when things are going well, and none of the fault when the doo-doo hits the fan.

These days, blamestorming is def happening more often behind closed doors with private companies really messing things up (looking at you Wells Fargo, Yahoo, VW, Facebook, Theranos, etc.).
