Viral Marketing

Categories: Marketing

Sounds like an oxymoron, right? If a website or product is "viral," it means that kids went to the movie, came home, and told 18 friends that they must see this film.

That's viral. The message just goes on and on on its own. So yes, it's "marketing," but nobody paid for it. The film was so scary or...whatever-y...that "everyone" just had to see it, or they were behind. Out of the loop. The marketing was done via word of mouth by those who just loved the product.
