World Economic Forum

Categories: Education, Econ, Metrics

The economic brainiacs of the world, as well as prominent and rich people (think: CEO’s, ambassadors, politicians, religious leaders, union representatives) come together in superhero-like fashion at The World Economic Forum every year. It’s not-so-super-secret headquarters is in Geneva, Switzerland.

Their goal? To figure out how to tackle socioeconomic, political, and environmental problems facing the world. Their mission includes the idea that the rest of the world has a stake in their decisions. In other words: they’re supposed to make decisions that will help everyone, not just themselves, even though that seems antithetical to how many of them become prominent people in the first place.

Someone other than Iron Man's gotta take care of the world, right?
