Flesh and blood Why Should I Care
Why Should I Care?
Family. You can't live with 'em; you can't live without 'em. They're the people who love and support you no matter what, but they also try to borrow your clothes, rat you out to your parents, or even sabotage your love life. Sure, we love our brothers and sisters as much as the next guy, but they can get on our nerves sometimes.
That's really what this whole play is about. York wants to do something meaningful for his family so he can leave them something behind. To him, it's all about his bloodline, even if his future generations aren't actually around yet. York's trying to make his kids proud, and we bet you can relate to that.
Because as much as your mom bugs you about hanging out with the right crowd or applying to college, she's got your back. You know that she's there for you, and you want to make her proud. Aw. Yeah, we told you it's all about family.
