Pomp and circumstance Why Should I Care
Why Should I Care?
It doesn't matter if you're graduating from high school, picking up an award for MVP, or performing at a recital, there's an extra dose of pomp and circumstance with your day. Why? Everyone is in a celebratory mood and knows that your parents are going to take about a zillion pics of you all dressed up.
That's just how life (and mom and dad) works. Most of the time we're all too busy running from A to B to C to bother with anything formal or fancy. There's no medal for getting ready the fastest, or finishing your homework every night, because that's the stuff you have to do every single day.
And then there are those special days where everyone takes a second to celebrate an accomplishment or milestone, because it's awesome that you scored triple-pointers in the last game, or practiced piano until your fingers were numb. If you think about it, those big days are really just a combo of all the small moments of practice and studying until you finally reach your goals.
So go on, add a little ceremony to your celebration. You've earned some pomp and circumstanceā¦ and an ice cream.
