The Dog (Toby, Fella, Bailey, Elleya, Bear, Buddy) Timeline & Summary

The dog is born, captured, named Toby, and dies.
The dog is reborn, escapes his pen, is picked up, locked in a truck, and almost dies.
Almost.
The dog's rescued by a woman, who gives the pup to her son, Ethan.
Ethan names the dog Bailey, and they become BFFoALUTDD (Best Friends Forever, or At Least Until the Dog Dies).
Bailey watches as Ethan grows up, plays, finds his first love, and joins the football team.
Ethan, injured in a fire, loses his football scholarship and must go to a different school. He leaves Bailey alone and confused.
The dog dies of old age, but Ethan is by his side as he croaks.
The dog is reborn as a police dog. He—now a she—saves missing people, mostly children, until a tragic accident ruins her sense of smell.
In retirement, the dog accompanies an officer to lectures that help kids not get lost.
Soon the dog dies of old age, fulfilled that she kept her purpose to save people. Or not, because she is reborn, again as a male dog.
After being abandoned by his owner, the dog picks up Ethan's scent.
Ethan is now an old man who takes the dog in.
The dog helps Ethan reunite with his high school sweetheart, and they live HEAoUHD (Happily Ever After, or Until He Dies).
When Ethan dies, his trusty dog is by his side.
