Ted Striker and Rex Kramer

When Ted Striker and Rex Kramer flew together in the war, both were capable pilots and commanders. In the years after the war, however, the stories of these two characters diverged. While Kramer adjusted smoothly back to civilian life, utilizing his flying experience to become a commercial airline pilot, Ted's transition was anything but smooth. Plagued by the guilt of his actions in the war, Ted flounders in society, unable to keep a steady job or accept any real responsibility. Ultimately, however, with Kramer's help, Ted's able to overcome his demons and take charge of his life once again.
