Carl Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman)’s Timeline and Summary

Carl Bernstein, like the most annoying guy in your English class, corrects Woodward's work without being asked to.
But he's right. His suggestions improve the story, and Woodward accepts his assistance.
Good thing, because the editors assign them to work together.
To help gather information, Bernstein flutters his eyelashes and flirts with an assistant to a politician.
And he tricks a secretary to gain access to an ADA with documents relating to the burglars.
He also presses a bookkeeper with CREEP—the Committee to Re-Elect the President—to talk when no one else will.
The guy has persuasion skills. It's in the hair.
When Woodward tells Bernstein their lives may be in danger, Bernstein continues to work on the story and support him.
Together, they write their big expose and begin to take down the corrupt administration.
