Luke

All eyes on Luke Garner. No wait, don't look at him. Luke has been hiding his whole life, and he doesn't even realize the extent of the Government's control until he meets Jen and she opens his eyes to the truth. Even though it's not what he initially set out to do (Luke just wanted to go outside) he ends up vowing to help free all third children. As the main perspective and the hero of the book, Luke is 100% our protagonist.
