And Death Shall Have No Dominion Summary

The poem opens with the speaker declaring that death shall have no dominion. He goes on to give all the various circumstances that could happen during one's life and also after death. No matter if a person's "bones are picked clean," death shall have no dominion. He goes on to emphasize that no matter the circumstances, everyone will rise again. This pattern of living, dying, and then rising again persists throughout the poem until the "sun breaks down."
