- Prior sleeps in his bed.
- The room is totally normal – there's no trace of the angel's destruction.
- Prior wakes up from a nightmare.
- He feels his crotch and sees that he's had a wet dream. He is disappointed that he slept through the first orgasm he's had in months.
- Prior calls his friend Belize, who is on duty at the hospital (he's a nurse), and tells him he had an erotic dream about an angel.
- Prior tries to get Belize to come over, but Belize can't because he's on duty.
- Henry, Roy's doctor, approaches Belize and tries to get him off the phone.
- Prior begs Belize to sing him a song. While Henry is still trying to get Belize's attention, Belize sings "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" to Prior.
- Belize hangs up.
- Henry gives him some medical charts.
- Belize notes that the charts say the patient has liver cancer, but this is not the floor for that. (This probably has something to do with the fact that Roy, the patient, refuses to acknowledge that he has AIDS.) Henry says this is the right floor for the patient. He also notes that the guy is kind of a big shot.
- "Oh, okay. Then I shouldn't f*** up his medication?" quips Belize (1.4.50).
- Belize calls Prior back and tells him that the "New York's number one closeted queer" has just checked into the hospital (1.4.56).
