Betelgeuse

If you turn into a snake and attack a family, we'd say that makes you the bad guy. Betelgeuse might not get much screen time, but he's always lurking around in the background threatening to cause mayhem. Plus, you have to admit, he's the only ghost in this movie that's actually scary. He starts out looking like he could be helpful to the Maitlands, but it's clear he just gets in the way of the Maitlands' goal: to live in peace in their house.
