The Maitlands and The Deetzes

Urban vs. rural. City vs. country. Big vs. Aiden. The Maitlands and Deetzes come from two different worlds, so it's no surprise that they clash. We're supposed to see the Maitlands as good old-fashioned, down-to-Earth relatable types. The Deetzes, on the other hand, are obnoxious, artistic New Yorkers with money to burn. By the end of the movie, everyone's found a way to coexist, but things do get kinda tense when the walls start coming down.
