Marjorie

For one brief, shining moment, we see Marjorie as a force of good, rather than evil – she takes Bernice under her wing and schools her in the ways of popularity. She's actually extremely effective in her role as guide/mentor, since she has the art of popularity down to a science. Marjorie proves to be an excellent teacher – in fact, too excellent. Alas, this short reprieve in Marjorie's obnoxiousness doesn't last long, and as soon as Bernice, the fledgling flapper, is out of the nest, Marjorie turns against her.
