Never has there been so much ado about such miniscule characters as there has been about the Clock family. Although they are small in size, the titular borrowers (in both The Borrowers and their sister books) pack tons of adventure into the pages written about them. And you don't have to take our word for it—not only did The Borrowers spawn an entire series of books, but generations after its initial publication, it continues to be made into movies.

As much as this book is filled with opportunities to get your students into reading, though, it also presents a few challenges. So let's sort this all out.
