• Maryse Lightwood, Jace's adopted mother, tells Jace that she doesn't trust him anymore. She thinks he's secretly working with Valentine.
• He storms out and starts a fight with a bunch of werewolves because he doesn't know how else to cope with emotion.
• When he returns to the Institute, the Inquisitor is there. She imprisons Jace in the Silent City until she can use the Soul-Sword to see if he's telling the truth.
• Unfortunately, Valentine comes in and kills everyone and takes the sword.
• Clary rescues Jace, and later accompanies him to the Seelie Court.
• There, the Faerie Queen tells Jace that he and Clary have special powers. She also makes them smooch. Hot stuff.
• Later, Jace pays a visit to Valentine, who wants Jace to join him. No can do, pops.
• Jace is re-imprisoned by the Inquisitor, but he decides to just jump right out of the cage. Why? Because he believes he can.
• He jumps off the building and into Luke's pick-up truck and they ride off to stop Valentine.
• Aboard Valentine's ship, Jace discovers that Valentine almost killed Simon. He feeds Simon his blood to revive him.
• After Clary blows up the ship with her Open Rune, Jace returns home to the Institute.
• He tells Clary that he'd rather be her brother than her lover, and he doesn't realize that this is the exact opposite of what she really wants.
• Maryse tells him that she really did trust him all along, she was just trying to protect him, making us wonder if she has the same definition of "trust" and "protect" we did.
• But Jace is happy to be welcomed back to the family, and he moves back into his room.
