Anna Howe Timeline and Summary

When we first meet Anna, she's showing off her skills as a sassy best friend. She wants to know all the deets on Lovelace and the duel.
Anna cautions Clarissa to be careful, but she also wants to know if she's in love with Lovelace. She is, right??
Anna compares Lovelace and Solmes to Hickman, the guy she's supposed to marry. She concludes that Lovelace gets her engine going a bit more, but she sees that Hickman has merit.
Anna meets with Lovelace to plot with him about how to proceed with Clarissa. She's just trying to do her friend a solid.
Anna's mom forbids her to keep writing to Clarissa after she leaves with Lovelace, but Anna's no coward. She just has Clarissa's letters delivered secretly.
Anna figures out that Lovelace is no good. She tells Clarissa to put a ring on it ASAP or get the heck out of there.
After Clarissa's rape, she figures out that Anna hasn't been getting the letters. Time to catch up the BFF on everything, and we mean everything.
After Clarissa's death, Anna marries Hickman and names her kiddo Clarissa. She lives happily ever after with a seriously awesome husband.
