Sonmi-451 Timeline & Summary

In the not-so-distant future, Sonmi-451, a fabricant, is being interviewed before her execution.
Manufactured to work at Papa Song's—the fast-food joint of the future—Sonmi watches as her fellow fabricant Yoona-939 ascends (gains knowledge) and becomes unhappy with her existence.
Yoona is killed when she tries to escape. Then Sonmi ascends, but she has someone help her escape.
Dr. Aloi Mephi brings Sonmi to Taemosan University, where is she put in the care of Boom-Sook Kim.
When Boom-Sook almost kills Sonmi, Mephi expels him and lets Sonmi live on her own. She reads all day, attends classes, and gains vast knowledge. But she hasn't actually lived.
Enter Hae-Joo Im, a grad student who shows Sonmi around town.
When Unanimity enforcers show up to take custody of Sonmi, Hae-Joo reveals himself to be working for Union, a pro-Abolitionist group that has been declared an enemy of Unanimity.
Hae-Joo and Sonmi go on the run, and Hae-Joo shows Sonmi a variety of horrible things, like the fact that dead fabricants are recycled, and their body parts made into food.
Sonmi agrees to become the figurehead of the Abolitionist cause, and she writes her Declarations.
Then Sonmi is captured by Unanimity and set to be executed.
For her final wish, Sonmi desires to watch a movie—The Ghastly Ordeal of Timothy Cavendish.
