Galapas Timeline and Summary

Galapas greets Merlin as though he's been expecting him. He promises to teach him.
In addition to teaching Merlin the healing arts, Galapas teaches him biology and geography. He also helps him to see visions in the crystal cave.
Galapas advises Merlin to go with his grandfather to Segontium after the boy has a vision of the mineshaft.
When Merlin has a vision of his grandfather's and Cerdic's deaths, Galapas teaches Merlin how to make and use a "mystical" fire so he can have visions of the future.
Then Galapas advises Merlin to run away. Galapas promises he will see him again—and that Merlin will inherit the cave.
Galapas is murdered by Vortigern's men, and his body is left to decompose on the hill above the cave.
