Daedalus

Daedalus

Daedalus was a total mastermind. He was kind of like Einstein, Leonard da Vinci, and Thomas Edison all rolled up into one. On top of being an amazing inventor, he was also a genius architect, a master craftsman, and an off-the-charts sculptor. One of his most famous creations was the mysterious Labyrinth of Crete, where the man-eating Minotaur was imprisoned. His other major claim to fame was inventing the fabulous wings that carried him and his son Icarus into the sky. Unfortunately, though, the first test flight ended in tragedy when Icarus flew too close to the sun and fell to his death in the sea.
