Your Field Guide to Spotting Erinyes (Furies)
You might want to rethink your quest to find the Erinyes. They don't call them the goddesses of vengeance for nothing. For starters, you'll have to head down to the Underworld and take a plunge into the bottomless pit of Tartarus where they live. If you manage not to get lost or eaten by a monster (or worse), you'll have to deal with the Erinyes themselves, who aren't exactly pleasant. At least they won't be hard to recognize, since they have wings, snakes in their hair, and blood dripping out of their eyes. If you're really determined to meet them, you can save yourself the trip to Tatarus by committing a terrible crime. Do something awful, and the next thing you know, the Erinyes will be winging their way toward you to crack you with their whips and drive you insane.
