Apollo

Apollo told Orestes to kill Clytemnestra and go to Delphi (in the previous play, Libation Bearers) and now he's the one to tell him to go to Athens. Once Orestes gets to Athens, Apollo keeps helping him out by defending him at his trial. These are all signs that Apollo plays the role of Orestes's guide and mentor in the play.
