Sandy (Olivia Newton-John)’s Timeline and Summary

Sandy and Danny share a romantic time on the beach before Sandy returns to a land down under.
But she doesn't return. She packs her Vegemite and moves to the U.S. of A.
Sandy is surprised to meet Danny at her new school, and she's even more surprised by what a jerk he's become.
Sandy dates a charming but dull football player and insinuates to Danny that she'd like him if he went out for athletics.
She's impressed by him falling on his face during hurdles—hey, at least he's trying—and she agrees to go out with him.
But she becomes jealous when Danny won't admit to a previous relationship with Cha Cha.
At the drive in, she's offended when Danny gropes her. They might be done for good.
However, at Thunder Road, Sandy watches Danny race and realizes she might need a change if they're to be together.
Cue makeover.
Sandy and Danny declare their love and fly away in his magic flying car.
