Billy's heroism falls into the category of cleaning up his own mistakes, but we have to give him props for doing it. He doesn't expect anyone else to stop the gremlin rampage that he indirectly started. "Don't cry over a spilt milk," is a stupid phrase because who cries over that? "Don't cry over water spilt on a mogwai's back," would be better, because that would have us in tears.
