Winnie to Willie and Willie to Winnie

Winnie is definitely the yin to Willie's yang. Whereas Willie doesn't say much, Winnie says too much. Even the shapes of their respective homes are inversions of each other; he lives in a hole in the ground whereas she lives in a mound that sticks out above ground.

Willie is all about breaking the rules, and Winnie is about keeping up appearances and following routine. They function to highlight the differences inherent in not only themselves but in the way they face their situations.
