Hector
Hector
Hector was totally the man. The oldest son of King Priam of Troy, he was his city's top-dog warrior and the leader of its armies during the Trojan War. Ironically, even though Hector had mad skills in battle, he thought the war was a really dumb idea. He blamed his brother, Paris, for stupidly starting the whole thing by stealing Helen from Menelaus, king of Sparta. Still, Hector fought as hard as he could to save his doomed city, taking out a ton of Greeks before he was finally slain by Achilles.
But wait! There's more to Hector than his skills on the battlefield. He was also known to be a good husband to his wife, Andromache, and a loving father to his baby boy, Scamandrius. You might have to break out the tissues for the scene in the Iliad where he says goodbye to his fam. So, there you have it. Family guy, warrior, prince among men—Hector was all that and a bag of chips.
