Virtually every clause of the Magna Carta deals with protecting—or reinstating—some kind of right. If there is one motif carried throughout it's that the people have rights…and that this documents lists some of them.

It doesn't ensure rights for all people; this is the medieval era, they aren't ready for "created equal" ideas just yet. The Magna Carta never mentions serfs or peasants, but most other social classes are included and their rights are explained. The document doesn't usually say the word "right" (or list them clearly), but if you were to summarize each clause you could break them down by what right it grants.
