Sheldon protect Henry when he doesn't have to—scaring away bullies and taking his homemade lunch from him so he won't get beat up at school. And that's not where Sheldon's care of his young friend stops; he also gives young Henry a lot of advice when he's having a hard time deciding what to do next. He's the one who helps Henry visit Keiko in Idaho, where Henry finally declares his love to her. At the end, when they're both older men, Sheldon is the one who encourages Henry to find Keiko again and reconnect with her. This dude's full of good advice.
