Henry Lee

Throughout Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, the story follows Henry Lee and his perspective on the events that unfold over the course of World War II, checking in with Henry when he is much older and has a family of his own, too. Henry isn't just some passive player in this tale; he's at center stage, carrying out some pretty heroic actions in order to help his first love, Keiko, and then, as an older man, seeking her out again even though it's been many decades since they last spoke. Throughout it all, our fingers are tightly crossed for him.
