JT Sanborn

Sanborn and Will are on the same side, but sometimes it's hard to tell because they are so different. Whereas Sanborn is all about communication and making sure things are done safely and properly, Will doesn't hesitate to cut corners or take risks if he thinks they will pay off—and he doesn't necessarily discuss his decisions with his other team members.

We get exposed to Sanborn's M.O. early on in the film, when he's still working with Thompson. Because we've seen how chatty and by the book Sanborn and Thompson are while working a mission, we get the sense right away that Will is not really going to fit in with his carefree attitude toward the whole dealing-with-bombs thing.
