There's no big baddie in Inside Out. Instead, Joy goes to battle with herself. Or to be clear, New and Improved Joy goes to battle with Status Quo Joy. Joy must overcome eleven years' worth of pushing her jubilant agenda to the fore—and pushing Riley's other feelings out of the picture—in order to grow in order to do right by Riley.
