Captain Woodrow F. Call Timeline & Summary

Bored with bossing everyone around in the Hat Creek Cattle Company, Captain Call leads a cattle drive to Montana.
Call steals cattle and horses from a rival rustler in Mexico and hires local boys to join the team.
Along the drive, Call basically maintains his role as stubborn leader.
At a pit stop in a bar, Call and Gus rough up a bartender who disrespects his elders.
Later, Call almost beats a man to death who hurts Newt. Newt is Call's son, although Call won't admit it.
After Gus dies, Call gives Newt his best horse and puts him in charge.
Then Call rides all the way back across the country to bury Gus.
On the way, Call sees Blue Duck, the man who kidnapped Lorena, hanged for his crimes.
Then Call buries Gus and returns to Lonesome Dove. Will he stay there a while?
