Though Luna is a pretty easy book to read in terms of language, it deals with themes and topics that may be difficult to grasp. Luna is a character who happens to be transgender; by day she dresses as a boy named Liam, but by night she lets herself shine as Luna. The exploration of gender norms and how they can be subverted can get pretty confusing, but you'll learn so much more about how different people can be. So hang on for the ride—it's guaranteed to be an interesting one.
